Thanks to a group of historians from the history study program at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić, Montenegro is richer for another scientific journal. It is a bilingual magazine "Montenegrin Journal for Social Science", the first publication of its kind in Montenegro.
"The journal was founded with the intention of offering a space for a more modern and innovative scientific-research statement, as well as for the affirmation of new ideas and opinions in the social sciences. It was created according to the model of the most influential international magazines in the social and humanities, and the articles are published in English and Montenegrin," said the founders of the magazine, which was published by the Center for Geopolitics of the Faculty of Philosophy of the UCG.
The magazine has an international editorial board, which consists of eminent professors from the USA, Italy, Malaysia, Germany, the Czech Republic and Romania. The editor-in-chief is Živko Andrijašević, and the editors are Adnan Prekić, Dragutin Papović and Ivan Tepavčević.
"In the first issue, among others, research was published on the political attitudes of the Montenegrin student population, especially in relation to NATO, the determination of the Catholic Church in Montenegro according to nationalism, the role of the Republic of Venice in the modern history of Montenegro, the relationship between intellectuals and the government in the period of socialism." , the editorial team of the magazine pointed out.
"Montenegrin Journal for Social Science" will be published twice a year, and in addition to the printed edition, access to all scientific works is provided on the internet edition at www.mjss.ac.me.
