The non-governmental organization Euromost announced that they received a video from the citizens, which, they said, shows that at the illegal temporary landfill "Mostina" in Rožaje, in front of the inspection and an officer of the Rožaje police, "meat is being destroyed, and after that it is also taken." relations in an unknown direction".
They asked if the temporary landfill was being misused and who was responsible, and asked the Minister of European Affairs, Maida Gorčević, "if this is the road to the European Union."
They explained that the case happened on August 28, from 19.20:19.40 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., when citizens were monitoring the temporary landfill and informed Euromost about everything, and that the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Rožaje, as well as other competent institutions, were then informed.
Euromost states that a day later, in a telephone conversation with the director of the Rožaj Communal Company, they received information from him that the inspection, with the assistance of an officer of the Police Department from Rožaj, was monitoring the destruction of meat "and that he is monitoring everything, because they have two cameras installed, while he did not say that "The meat, after the inspection and the Police Department officers left, was discovered taken and taken in an unknown direction," which, they say, can be seen in the videos that the NGO provided to the media.
They explained that the video shows a car from which, in front of the inspection and police officer, "two persons unload and cover themselves", and "also after the inspection and the officer leave, the same car returns and the same two persons take everything they put away and take it away in an unknown direction".

The NGO states that "all this clearly indicates how this illegal temporary landfill is being misused, that the inspections do not complete the entire procedure to the end, what is being unloaded and what is happening" at that landfill.
That's why, they say, they asked the prosecutor's office in Rožaje to immediately order to go to that place and carry out an investigation, "whether the aforementioned is still there, to request video recordings from the director of the Rožaje utility company at the time when the inspection together with the police officer carried out these actions, on 28.08.2024/XNUMX/XNUMX, at the time they mentioned in the report, what happened after the inspection and the police administration officer, where the same meat ended, listen to all the actors of this case and determine whether it was carried out criminal offense prosecuted ex officio."
They add that they have informed all the competent inspectorates about the whole case, that they "react in accordance with their competences", especially the Directorate for Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs, "in whose competence it is, they will examine their inspector and initiate proceedings against all participants in this act , as well as the Directorate for Inspection Affairs, the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Euromost says that so far they have not received any response from the aforementioned, even though more than ten days have already passed, and that today they informed the public about everything "due to mistrust and suspicion that the whole case will be covered up".
They say that they will continue to monitor "everything that happens at this and other illegal temporary landfills" in the municipalities in the north and inform the institutions and the public.
