The Agreement and Protocol between the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation and the Geta Institute Belgrade, as well as the Memorandum between the Geta Institute and the Center for Foreign Languages and Translation Double L, were signed today in Podgorica, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI) announced.
This is one of the activities carried out within the framework of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture, education, science and sports between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, which will further deepen the relations between the two countries and open new opportunities for the exchange of knowledge, experience and the best practice, said the MPNI.
As stated in the announcement, the agreement aims to further improve the quality of education in the field of foreign language learning, especially raising the level of professional qualifications of German language teachers, and providing support for raising the quality of German language teaching in Montenegro, while the Protocol contains criteria for admission and participation of schools in the PASCH network. The PASCH initiative, in addition to improving the teaching of the German language, encourages encounters between different cultures and the development of the international community of schools.
The signing was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, who continuously express their unreserved support for the initiatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. Cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany through the PASCH initiative, led by renowned institutions such as the Goethe-Institut and the Academic Exchange Service, represents a key step towards the improvement of the educational system in Montenegro, said the MPNI, adding that this initiative has been encouraging young people's interest in the German language and culture.
"Language learning opens the door to the world, and knowledge of culture helps us understand the heart of that world," pointed out Minister of Education Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović and added that this is precisely why learning foreign languages and encounters with other cultures are becoming an irreplaceable part of the education of today's generations. In addition to cooperation in the field of German language teaching, the Goethe Institute has a diverse offer of German language courses, and is also responsible for cultural exchange between FR Germany and Montenegro.
Together with our German partners, we are working to create conditions for quality education, which will enable our young people to acquire the skills necessary for success in a global society, concludes the MPNI announcement.
