The Danilovgrad Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) called on the Municipality of Danilovgrad to act responsibly and remove the consequences of irresponsible decisions that are not in the interest of the health and protection of citizens.
"The obligation of the Municipality of Danilovgrad and its services was, first of all, to determine the appropriate location for burying euthanized cattle. Instead of timely and responsible action, the Municipality non-transparently determined an inappropriate location in Razmedovo and buried the infected cattle during the night", according to the DPS- a.
They point out that the terrain and the road are used for raising cattle to the mountains of Štitovo and Sinjajevina, and next to it there are several katuns where people spend their summers with their families. That is why they believe that the citizens are right to react and demand the protection of property and health in the mentioned locality, but the Municipality, as pointed out by the DPS, still persists in making decisions that are harmful to the residents.
"As we warned in the previous days, the spread of Q fever infection is beyond the control of the system and the state does not have a plan to resist this problem. This is all a consequence of uncoordinated activities and non-cooperation of all relevant actors, who were obliged to take all available measures to prevent the spread of this infectious disease. Testing of people who have been in contact with Q fever shows that the number of infected people is increasing," says the DPS.
They add that further decision-making by the leaders of the Municipality of Danilovgrad, which is secret without public participation, is of particular concern.
"We call on the management of the Municipality of Danilovgrad to consider all the consequences of their decisions, which they make secretly, without the participation of the public, and whose consequences are bad for people's health," concludes the DPS statement.
