The municipality of Pljevlja is ready to take over the management and ownership of the Ada Sports Hall in that city from the state, if the current owners settle outstanding debts.
This is what the vice president of the municipality told Vijesti Darko Gazdić, who recently discussed this with representatives of the Government at a meeting in Podgorica.
Gazdić also said that the Municipality would participate in the settlement of the outstanding debt in proportion to its share in the ownership of the hall.
The Municipality of Pljevlja is the owner of 12,89 percent of the sports hall in Pljevlja, the Government of Montenegro - the Ministry of Finance 57,88 percent, the Directorate of Public Works 25,96 percent, the Municipality of Pljevlja 12,89 percent and others who participated as donors in its construction and 3,27 percent.
Gazdić said that it was agreed that the Government would make a statement on the offered proposal.
The hall's account has been blocked for a long time by the municipal company Čistoća due to a debt of about 70.000 euros for garbage collection.
This blockade, as the member of the Board of Directors, Ada Gorica Knežević Jelovac, recently told the News, will cause the favorable reprogramming with Elektroprivreda Montenegro to be terminated and lead to an enormous increase in the debt for taxes and contributions as well as VAT.
She pointed out that SC "ADA" and its employees have been struggling with a very difficult situation for years, which recently reached its peak and threatened the establishment of this very important institution for Pljevlja.
Debts from the previous period reached the amount of 448.000 euros, of which 300.000 euros are owed to the Tax Administration, 82.000 to Cleanliness, 55.000 to EPCG, 1.000 to Vodovod and 10.000 euros for fees to members of the Board of Directors.
The planned income for this year is 138.000 euros, the most from the rental of business premises is 50.000 euros, and 40.000 for the rental of a large hall for matches and training and recreation. From the rental of a small hall to the Vocational High School, an income of 8.000 euros is planned, a donation of 25.000, a donation of 25.000, 10.000 euros from the payment of heat energy, and 5.000 euros from income from tournaments and other events.
The Hall currently employs seven permanent workers and 2 seasonal workers in the boiler room.
"All of them work for an irregular minimum of 450 euros because, considering the income, it is impossible to increase the benefits and receive the missing workforce. The age structure is unfavorable. The oldest worker is 64 years old and the youngest is 46. Some of them, although they have conditions for a pension, are not able to get it because of unpaid taxes and contributions," said Knežević Jelovac.
She emphasized that Rudnik Uglja is the only company that sponsored the hall through coal donations, because they would not be able to finance the purchase of that energy by themselves.
