On the occasion of marking the Day of the Ecological State of Montenegro, employees of Nikšić's "Trebjesa" Brewery and members of the non-governmental association (NVU) "Paths of the Ancestors" organized an afforestation campaign in the Trebjesa forest park and planted 134 saplings of spruce, birch, cedar, maple, pine and chestnut.

"For years, through these joint actions, we have been contributing to a greener future, and we are happy that on this important date we are showing our long-term commitment to sustainable business. We are proud of every seedling we have used to green this area so far. The Trebjesa Forest Park is a symbol of our city and favorite place for recreation of Nikšić residents of all generations," said Natalija Đordan, manager of corporate affairs at Pivara.

As the organizers of the action announced, their goal is to contribute to the preservation of the local ecosystem and raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection.

"By arranging hiking and recreation trails on Trebjesa, we are trying to make the most beautiful part of our city cleaner, and through afforestation, greener. Our activities are supported by the Municipality and the Nikšić Municipal Corporation, and so far we have planted several thousand seedlings in our city. With this action we want to send a clear message that we need to take more care of the nature of the first ecological state. 'We must protect nature' is the message of our association for this year and we hope that we will make the most of the period ahead of us, which is ideal for planting," said Ana Petrović Njegoš from NVU "In the ways of the ancestors".

Reforestation of Trebjesa is part of Pivara's September activities, the month that "the company traditionally dedicates to sustainable business and environmental initiatives, in which employees participate voluntarily".

As they announced from Pivara, through all previous joint actions, including this one, the organizers planted more than 1.700 seedlings of different species in the Trebjesa forest park.
