The head of the DPS Danilovgrad councilors' club, Branko Bošković, announced that the party will ask for an extraordinary session of the local parliament in connection with the Kyu fever.
Bošković also said that the Municipality of Danilovgrad should allocate funds and help vulnerable farmers.
"We express our dissatisfaction that after today's meeting of the collegium, and the received agenda, the current situation regarding the fever that threatens the health of our fellow citizens, was not considered as an emergency situation, and was not planned for consideration even in the regular procedure of the 17-point session, which is scheduled for October 11. We request that an emergency session of the Danilovgrad Municipal Assembly be scheduled in connection with the crisis situation that arose as a result of the spread of kyu fever Municipalities, state bodies, and especially municipal services responsible for monitoring and decision-making in such situations, are considering this problem and will contribute to making concrete decisions in order to reduce the consequences of this problem," said Bošković.
At that session, as he added, the actual situation on the ground should be taken into account, measures should be proposed that will help the affected farms, but also measures that will contribute to preventing this situation from happening again in our municipality.
"We demand from the management of the municipality to allocate funds from the local budget to help farmers living in the territory of Danilovgrad. We believe that this is an expression of solidarity, but also an investment in agriculture, which is a key branch of the economy in our municipality," concluded Bošković.
