The city administration of Podgorica, in the first eight months of 2024, from January 1 to September 12, spent 7.144 euros on behalf of the national team.
Among the 14 invoices, obtained with the help of the MANS application "Ask institutions", the amount of 4.200 euros paid on April 6 to a reputable restaurant in Podgorica certainly attracts attention. The invoice specification is rather sparse and only states that 120 “menu set 35” were delivered at a price of €35 each. In that restaurant, we were told that they cannot say exactly what this order contains, because such menus are negotiated directly.
Suco Orahovac, the secretary of the Secretariat for Entrepreneurship and Investments who signed this bill, did not want to answer questions but directed us to the mayor's office Oliver Injac from which, as they say in this Secretariat, they approved the mentioned bill.
The PR service of the capital city explained that, nurturing the multi-ethnic and multi-confessional character, the iftar was organized during the month of Ramadan, which represents a long-standing tradition, which was accepted by the current government, and which is also nurtured by other local governments and state bodies.
"In the mentioned event, apart from the reis of the Islamic community of Montenegro, Rifata ef. Fejzic, attended by state and local officials and employees of the Capital City system, as well as representatives in the Assembly of the Capital City, among whom were opposition councilors," the answer states, noting that "this government throughout its mandate stood for values that founded in togetherness, which is also proven through a strong commitment to respecting the traditional values of multiculturalism in Podgorica, by participating in and organizing activities of this type".
Of the 14 submitted invoices, only one stated the purpose of the remittance - the type of payment. During the organization of the Regional Conference "Women's quotas - the path to unity", on June 10 this year, a lunch was organized for the participants. It was not stated how many people were at the table, but the bill was 888,5 euros. As for drinks, carbonated and natural juices were served, Institut wine, but the guests obviously preferred wines. Plantaž's "chardonnay", "vranac", "malvasija", "pro corde" and white wine "keković" are listed on the invoice. Marinated carp, class II sea fish and veal chops were served as food. With salads and coffee, the feast cost 885,5 euros. No one signed the invoice, at least the one that "Vijesti" got.
Among the representatives of the Capital City, there were also three more bills from local restaurants with the amounts of 173 and two for 175 euros.

The rest of the capital city's representation in the amount of 1.536,34 euros was spent in markets, on the purchase of various necessities for office feasts or possibly guests.
Anything and everything can be found in these accounts. There are baguettes, cucumbers, tuna, cream, cheese, cheese, various types of prosciutto, spreads, burek, pies, roast...
In the offices of the city administration, one would say, good and quality meals were served.
