Veterinarian Balša Blečić from Nikšić, who is infected with Kyu fever, claims that he tried for four days to get to an infectious disease specialist at the Nikšić General Hospital, but that his attempts were in vain, so he gave up on the examination. The hospital says that this patient did not come for the examination at the scheduled time.
"It's been three days since the infectious disease specialist Dušanka Milatović Perović refuses to examine me. On Monday, when I received the results, I was told to contact her. When I came, she told me to take a lung scan and then come. I immediately took an image of the lungs and came, but the nurse told me that the doctor had left and that I should come the next day. I went again the next day and they told me that the doctor would not be working, and when I asked if there was anyone to examine me because I was feeling bad, they told me that the other doctor was on sick leave and that I should come on Thursday after 15 pm. I left after the break they have and when I came at 17 p.m. they told me that the doctor was no longer there, but that she had left earlier," claims Blečić.
According to him, in Nikšić two veterinarians, one veterinary technician and three members of a family on whose farm kyu fever appeared were infected with kyu fever.
"The colleague got angry and immediately on Monday gave up going to the doctor and this embarrassment. I also decided not to go to them anymore, and if my condition gets complicated, someone will have to answer for it. I got pneumonia on both sides, I have asthma, high blood pressure. They called me to come to them yesterday, but I don't want to because this is a real humiliation," said Blečić in a telephone conversation.
Dr. Dušanka Milatović Perović, director of the General Hospital and the only infectious disease specialist in the hospital, claims that the truth is completely different from what Blečić presented to the public.
"He came on Tuesday morning without any findings and I immediately called the epidemiologist and told them to schedule an imaging test, and my sister scheduled an examination with me on Thursday at 15 p.m. All the patients who were there, both infectious and hepatological, were examined and after that I left. Later, my sister told me that Blečić came at 17.10:XNUMX p.m.," Milatović Perović told "Vijesta".
As she explained, she is obliged to perform the duties of the director of the General Hospital until 15 p.m., and after that she performs infectious and hepatological examinations.
“No one has ever been returned. All patients with Q fever who came forward were examined both by the selected doctor and by a doctor from the Emergency Service. All received appropriate therapy. Patients who requested additional consultations with an infectious disease specialist were also examined by me. There are four patients," said Milatović Perović.
As she emphasized, Blečić would also have been examined if he had come at the scheduled time.
