The consideration of six locations for burying animals euthanized due to Q fever is underway, announced the Municipality of Danilovgrad.
That local government announced today that it formed a Crisis Staff on Monday to ensure a quick and coordinated response of all relevant institutions and expert teams, with the aim of reducing the risk of further spread of QF, and above all to protect citizens' health.
The announcement adds that the Crisis Staff manages the entire management process, holds meetings to analyze the current situation and determine priorities for further actions.
"An expert team was formed to identify adequate locations for burying animals euthanized due to Q fever, and it has the task of examining potential locations, with the involvement of experts in the fields of hydrogeology, pedology, and veterinary medicine, considering that locations further from populated areas are considered. places, watercourses, sources of water supply and key ecosystems, but care must also be taken to respect safety standards during the transportation of animal remains," the announcement states.
The Municipality of Danilovgrad said that the expert team actively cooperates and is in continuous communication with state and local authorities, inspection services and relevant institutions in order to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
"Six locations are currently under consideration, which are currently being examined by the competent services and an expert team. Please note, the Municipality of Danilovgrad appeals to all citizens to be in solidarity, empathetic and benevolent in this situation, because anything to the contrary only complicates a sufficiently challenging situation. the priority is to preserve the health of our citizens, we must help the livestock farmers who are now in an unenviable situation. We hope that at least this situation will not be a political ring and a discourse of political competition and subterfuge," the statement reads.
It is stated that the employees of the Municipality work, regardless of working hours, tirelessly searching for an adequate location, and the situation is also challenging due to the municipality's hydrogeological position.
"Let's remind you that we tried to include the local community in making the decision, however, apart from the Vražegrmci Municipal Health Center, no one proposed a location for the burial of euthanized animals, and the mentioned Local Community offered a location for the burial of animals exclusively from the territory of the Vražegrmci Municipal Health Center," the statement concludes.
