There are no video surveillance cameras in any protected area of the capital, the director of the Agency for Management of Protected Areas in Podgorica told "Vijesta". Jasna Gajević.
She explained that the exceptions are in the natural monument "Park šuma Gorica" where there are cameras of a private company, which are used to detect and register the early appearance of smoke in that area.
She also explained that there are also cameras in the Komovi nature park, but their use is limited.
"We have cameras - traps that are exclusively used to monitor large mammals and obtain expert relevant data on their number, movement and distribution. We put them, according to the recommendations of experts in this field, in hidden places in the forest, which are assumed to be the path of movement of large mammals", said Gajević.
She also said that they received consent from the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data and Free Access to Information to install those cameras.
"The Agency for the Protection of Personal Data and Free Access to Information issued on 22.12.2022 consent of the company "One Crna Gora" for the installation of cameras at the base stations: Malo brdo, Ibričevina and Zagorič. "One" gave these cameras to the company "Spectro Solution" for the purpose of detecting the early appearance of smoke in Gorica, and they are used exclusively for that purpose," said Gajević. According to her, the most illegal activities this year were registered in the area of the "Rijeka Zeta" nature park.
"Construction without a permit, devastation of land, illegal disposal of waste and use of illegal means for hunting are leading," she said.
In Gorica, said Gajević, members of the Protection Service also reported motorcyclists who were prohibited from driving through the park and gave warnings to dog owners who do not keep them on a leash.
