UPSUL: Incident at the Bar anchorage, two ships came into contact

The Administration of Maritime Safety and Port Management (UPSUL) announced that tonight at 21.08:XNUMX p.m., at the Bar anchorage, two ships "Mangar" and "Contship Vow" came into contact.

As they stated, due to the strong north wind, the anchor of one of the ships was most likely plowed, which led to the contact.

"In this incident, no human lives were endangered and no pollution of the sea was reported, but there was a loss of a lifeboat from one of the ships. The Maritime Operations Center, which is part of the UPSUL, informed the Port Authority of Bar, PSC in accordance with procedures inspection, as well as the National Investigator for Maritime Accidents, who, in accordance with their competences, will perform an inspection on the ships that took part in the incident tonight," the statement reads, as reported by RTCG.
