New technologies play a key role in dealing with contemporary security threats and improving police skills, said the director of the Police Administration, Zoran Brđanin.
Miloš Rakonjac, from Brđa and acting assistant director for the Special Purpose Police Sector, is participating in the Conference of the European Branch of the FBI National Academy Association (FBINAA), which is being held this year in Oslo, Norway.
The Police Administration said that the theme of this year's conference is "Technological horizon of the police", with a special emphasis on the use of new technologies in modern police work.
The announcement states that the participation of the delegation of the Police Administration emphasizes the commitment of the Montenegrin police in monitoring global technological trends and applying innovations in daily operations.
"New technologies play a key role in dealing with contemporary security threats and improving police skills," said Brđanin.
As stated by the Police Administration, FBINAA conferences are internationally recognized as key gatherings for security professionals, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences, acquire new knowledge and strengthen police cooperation.
"The conference confirmed the importance of applying artificial intelligence and digital tools in the police profession, as well as the importance of international cooperation in strengthening global security," says the announcement.
The emphasis is placed on cybercrime, the use of drones in police operations, as challenges of digital transformation.
"In addition to the professional part, the event also provides an opportunity for networking and strengthening cooperation among police officers from all over the world, making it one of the most important gatherings in the field of security," according to the police statement.
