Representatives of local self-governments and executive authorities in Montenegro sent their condolences on the occasion of the deadly floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Joković: We share with you the painful moments you are going through
President of the Socialist People's Party and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Vladimir Joković sent a telegram of condolence to the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Lidia Bradar and Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić.
"On behalf of the SNP of Montenegro, as well as on my own behalf, I express my deepest condolences regarding the tragic events that caused the floods in the territory of the Federation of BiH, where a large number of people were killed, many of them were injured and enormous material damage was caused. In these difficult times, I want to express our solidarity with your people, sharing with you the painful moments you are going through. Please convey our sincere condolences to the families of the tragic victims, as well as our wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured and the most successful remediation of the consequences of this natural disaster," he wrote.
Injac: SZS capacities of the capital city are available
The mayor of Podgorica, Olivera Injac, said that the capital is ready to provide support in order to mitigate the consequences of the accident.
"In a very difficult moment for Bosnia and Herzegovina, I send my condolences to the families of the victims, and I wish a speedy recovery to all the injured. The capital is ready to provide support in order to mitigate the consequences, and in cooperation with the Directorate for Protection and Rescue of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, we have put at the disposal of the capacities of our Service.
"With a feeling of sincere solidarity, I express the hope that you will be able to find strength and face difficult challenges and losses. The messages of support and solidarity show that the entire region is united in the intention to send aid and ease the crisis that has befallen Bosnia and Herzegovina." she announced.
Đurašković: We are ready to provide all support
The mayor of Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, sent a letter of solidarity and expressed his condolences to the presidents of the municipalities of Jablanica, Fojnica, Kreševo, Kiseljak and Konjic.
"The news about the heavy rainfall, which led to the loss of human lives, the disappearance of your citizens and great material damage, deeply affected us. I ask you to accept the expressions of my personal respect and solidarity, as well as the expressions of the deepest condolences regarding the loss of life of your fellow citizens. In these difficult moments, our hearts are with the families who lost their loved ones, and our thoughts are with those who were injured and affected by this disaster," Đurašković's letter states.
He points out that Cetinje has always been a refuge for people in need, a city that proudly helped and shared the burden with those who needed help.
"In this regard, we want you to know that we are available to you and your citizens in these challenging times, ready to respond in any form of assistance you deem necessary. "Whether it is humanitarian, technical or logistical resources, we are ready to provide all the support in order to contribute to the recovery of your municipality and ease the burden that this tragedy brings," said Đurašković.
He expressed the hope that "the strength of togetherness, solidarity and determination will help overcome these difficult moments", and that Cetinje, as a friendly city, "will always be with them on the road to reconstruction, ready to provide all the necessary support".
Borovinić Bojović: Everyone to help according to their possibilities
The President of the Assembly of the Capital City, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, said that Podgorica is with the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"On behalf of the Assembly of the Capital City and in my own name, I express my deepest condolences to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the families who lost their loved ones due to the unprecedented floods that this country suffered.
"This grave tragedy, which brought the loss of human life and caused enormous damage, reminds us of the importance of international solidarity and the importance of a joint response in dealing with natural disasters.
"I am convinced that Montenegro will provide an adequate response from all competent rescue services in order to repair the damage as well as possible. At this critical moment, I appeal to all citizens of Montenegro, organizations and companies to provide the necessary assistance, in accordance with their capabilities. Podgorica stands along with the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on behalf of all the citizens of our city, I send sincere wishes for a quick recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas," she said.
