On the occasion of the deadly floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the non-governmental organization Caritas of the Bishopric of Kotor, the Voluntary Fire Company of Tivat and the NGO Naša Akcija launched a joint campaign to collect aid for the vulnerable population in that country.
As it was announced, they will organize a convoy that will be named "Edvin", in honor of the young man who died after saving ten people from the flood with his father.
"We ask that you donate exclusively: water, canned food, meat that is NOT of pig origin, hygiene and blankets. The wardrobe is not needed for now, because it is in large quantities in warehouses and distributed to vulnerable people. We attach special importance to ensure that meat and meat products are exclusively of NON-pig origin, in order to respect vulnerable residents of the Islamic faith," announced Don Željko Pasković, director of Caritas of the Kotor Diocese.
The addresses of the collection centers and the dates when donations can be made are: NVU "Caritas Kotorska Biskupije": Monastery complex of St. Nikola, Prčanj bb, Kotor (Sunday/Monday: 8am-20pm, Tuesday: 08am-12pm); NGO "Naša Akcija" Kotor: Kafe "Bahus", opposite KBC "Kotor" (Sunday-Tuesday: 08:20-1:14); Volunteer Center Herceg Novi: Ulica Mića Vavića 20, Topla, Herceg Novi (Monday-Tuesday: 09:20-XNUMX:XNUMX); DVD "Tivat", Youth Team Tivat: Sailing Club "Delfin", promenade Seljanovo, Tivat (Sunday-Tuesday: XNUMX:XNUMX-XNUMX:XNUMX).
"We hereby express our gratitude for the support of the cafe 'Bahus' from Kotor and the sailing club 'Delfin' from Tivat, who gave their premises for these needs. We appeal to all people to provide support and help with their donations," the announcement concludes.
