The Red Cross of Montenegro launched an action to collect financial aid for the population that was affected by the catastrophic floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the previous days.

You can donate help via giro account: 520-5188-31, at Hipotekarna banka, and soon citizens will be able to donate via SMS code to the number 15888, with all three mobile operators, about which the public will be informed in due time (the SMS code for ONE network users is already active).

The collected funds will be paid to the account of the Red Cross/Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Bearing in mind that the Red Cross of Montenegro is in continuous communication with colleagues from the Red Cross Society/Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we appeal to the citizens that for now, it is not necessary to donate any other type of aid, except monetary. On this occasion, we ask the citizens to, until the need arises, they do not separate second-hand clothing, food or hygiene products," the statement of the Red Cross of Montenegro states.

They remind that the situation in BiH is very difficult, that at least 18 people have lost their lives, and that more than 40 people are considered missing.

"Our colleagues from the Red Cross Society/cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina are on the ground and monitoring the situation, with the aim of providing assistance to families and individuals affected by the floods. The Red Cross of Montenegro has already offered help to colleagues in the neighboring country and made its resources available , when the need arises. We will continue to be in communication with them and will inform the public about the possibilities of providing the necessary assistance," the statement reads.
