Due to the urgent repair of a defect in Smailagaića Polje, on the main transport pipeline of the Kolašin water supply system, consumers in the settlements of Plana, Bakovići, Drijenak, Rogobore, Babljak, part of the settlement of Breza, Radigojno, Prljavi Brijeg, the settlement via Svinjača, and Lugu will be without water for several hours. Attention, as well as consumers in the city who are supplied with water directly from the so-called new water supply.
The Water and Sewerage Company announced that their teams are on the ground, and that the normalization of the water supply is expected by 15 p.m.
"Given that the pipeline is located in the carriageway of the Kolašin - Jezerine road, it was necessary to divert traffic through the village of Selišta in order to carry out the works smoothly. We ask consumers for their patience and understanding and we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the interruption of the water supply", said the executive director of the Water and Sewerage Department, Miloš Peković.
This is the second failure of the city's main water supply system since Saturday, and residents of the settlement along the road to Jezerine, that is, the Klisura tunnel, claim that the failure of the pipes occurs due to the frequency of traffic. They say that the road leading to the tunnel cannot withstand a large number of, especially, freight vehicles, and that there is subsidence on the asphalt and damage to the water infrastructure. They told the authorities to urgently find solutions, which, as they said, would prevent further and greater damage to the communal infrastructure.
The teams of Vodovda and Sewerage eliminated the previous failure even during Saturday, and there were many households in the Kolašina settlements without water during most of the first day of the weekend. Traffic from and to the Klisura tunnel was also diverted via Selišta.
