The Day of the Army of Montenegro is celebrated today, and on this occasion, congratulations have arrived from state officials and representatives of political parties.
Adžić: Army Day evokes a special emotion in all of us
MP URA Filip Adžić congratulated the Day of the Armed Forces of Montenegro.
"Dear members of the Montenegrin Army, on the occasion of October 7, the Day of the Montenegrin Army, which evokes a special emotion in all of us, given that it also represents a date that, in addition to the great victory at Tuđemil, is closely associated with the thousand-year statehood of Montenegro, I send you cordial and sincere congratulations, with the wish that you overcome all the problems that reduce the combat readiness of the Army of Montenegro and lower the credibility of allies and international partners as soon as possible," he said.
"On this day, I proudly recall the efforts made to improve the working conditions of the members of the Montenegrin Army, primarily the increase in wages, as well as the modernization of the Army, which entailed investing in the construction and renovation of facilities of over 20 million euros, as well as finishing all procurement procedures patrol boats, drones, mortars, anti-tank weapons, as well as many other elements necessary to improve our defense capability," added Adžić.
He stated that today it is difficult to see amateurism at all levels of executive power, which causes the destabilization of institutions and the degradation of professionalism.
"By implementing party interests, time was wasted and the soldiers were deprived of numerous benefits regarding the improvement of the standard of living, solving housing needs, faster advancement and relief of the soldiers, which would enable the easier introduction of new personnel into the defense system," said Adžić.
"At the very end, knowing that you have been trained to overcome the most difficult obstacles and the harshest conditions, I believe that the political difficulties that happened to you will not sway you to continue to serve your homeland bravely, responsibly and with dignity. May Montenegro be eternal, long live the Army of Montenegro ", he concluded.

Bogdanović: Clean the army of party functionaries of the former regime
On behalf of the Club of Democrats and his own name, Boris Bogdanović sent congratulations to the Minister of Defense and all members of the Army of Montenegro on the occasion of Army Day.
"The Army of Montenegro represents a key factor of stability in the region and actively contributes to strengthening cooperation and building partnership relations with the armed forces of the EU and around the world. Its participation in peacekeeping missions not only raises the reputation of the Army, but also of the state of Montenegro itself, and additionally strengthens our diplomatic potential.
Members of the Army of Montenegro, through their professionalism, responsibility and reliance on a rich military tradition, have shown that they are one of the most professional and representative segments of our society. This is supported by the successfully implemented professionalization of the Army, greater involvement in peacekeeping missions, the implementation of planned exercises and international activities, the improvement of defense capacities in the country and the region, new uniforms, new equipment and, above all, virtuous and honest work," says Bogdanović.
He said that, in this regard, he gives full support to the Minister of Defense and the members of the Council for Defense and Security to clean the defense system of the party officials of the former regime and their generals, who, as he claims, instead of strengthening the Army of Montenegro strengthened the parties of the former regime. "Implemented party orders, were responsible for every military uniform to vote according to party orders, who removed from the Army of Montenegro soldiers who were not recognized by the party terrain, who turned the defense system into administrators of the shameful portal Udar.me, who loaded military ships with narcotic drugs and many other things unworthy of a military uniform.
I am sure that the cleaned and reformed Army of Montenegro will build its modern profile in the future, remaining a desirable partner to friendly countries and a source of pride for all Montenegrin citizens," concluded Bogdanović.
