Representatives of the NGO Novi Poredak distributed sports equipment to the athletes and partners of the Special Olympics as a form of support for their sports achievements and successes.
Members of the "Unified club" of the Special Olympics from Bijelo Polje Vocational High School received tracksuits, sneakers, T-shirts, sports backpacks and table tennis rackets from representatives of the NGO New Order, as reported by the NGO.
The licensed coach of the Special Olympics, Mirsad Lukač, said that the athletes of the Special Olympics and their partners have been achieving enviable results for several years at national and international competitions in athletics, table tennis, alpine skiing and more.
In the continuation of the project, additional education will be organized with athletes and partners of the Special Olympics with the aim of preparing them to achieve new successes in all categories of sports competitions. As the project coordinator, professor Radivoje Bogavac said, in the continuation of the project, the NGO will distribute 8 laptops and organize computer science classes, and the goal of the project is, among other things, a sports-technical area for talented students who achieve sports results.
The project "Education to the equality of persons with disabilities" is implemented in partnership with the NGO Korak prmenje and lasts seven months and is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights of Montenegro.
