The event in Bar is a new warning about the growing problem of peer violence in educational institutions that is not receiving the necessary attention, said the Center for Civic Education (CGO).
The non-governmental organization (NGO) said that they are concerned about today's incident, which took place in the yard of the "Niko Rolović" Gymnasium in Bar, and in which a minor student of that school sustained injuries.
"It is a new warning about the growing problem of peer violence in educational institutions that does not receive the necessary attention, and therefore no response from the educational system or other institutions that should be part of the preventive chain," said the CGO.
They recalled that the research they conducted shows that over 66 percent of students have witnessed, in some frequency, peer violence, and more than half know someone who was a victim of violence.
"Preventive programs must be improved and adequate support for young people must be provided," the NGO concluded.
The Police Administration announced that the student who suffered injuries is an adult and is 18 years old.
