In the statement of the Ministry of Defense, it is stated that Krapović pointed out that the VCG is not only the guardian of borders and sovereignty, but also the guarantor of peace, stability and the best representative of Montenegro outside its borders, and that it is committed to further strengthening its capacities, so that it remains so.
"Recently, the delivery of more than 30 light armored vehicles was finalized, which significantly improved the capacities of our ground forces. The soldiers are equipped with new uniforms and ballistic equipment, while they use the most modern weapons and optoelectronic means, and they are supported from the sky by new modern unmanned aerial vehicles," Krapović said. .
He said that the Croatian Navy has a key role in protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity at sea, and that every investment in it is an investment in the security and future of Montenegro.
"The new patrol boats, which we received as a donation from our allies from the United States of America, have improved our ability to quickly respond to all challenges in the Adriatic and resolve crisis situations at sea. Also, the installation of a modern sea surveillance system represents another significant step in strengthening the ability to control the Montenegrin waters and protect the coastal zone," Krapović said.
The minister said that he is "especially proud of the planned purchase of two patrol ships from France, which will further strengthen our Navy".
"Those ships will be a key component of our maritime defense, enabling us to react in the most demanding situations, whether it's security challenges, support to civil institutions or participation in international missions," Krapović announced.
The minister also announced new investments in the Air Force and the purchase of new aircraft in the near future.
"He also thanked all the members of the Croatian Armed Forces who honorably represent their country in international missions and operations, from Latvia in the north of Europe to the waters of the Indian Ocean and Western Sahara in North Africa," the statement reads.
Krapović said that he is committed to improving the working conditions and living standards of every member of the Army of Montenegro.
"Our army deserves the most modern equipment, the highest quality training, but also safety and stability in everyday life. That is why one of our main priorities in the future will be investing in military capacities, but also in the improvement of our soldiers, so that they can perform their tasks with maximum efficiency. and in conditions worthy of their calling. Our army is the guardian of peace and security, and it is up to us to be its guardians - to ensure that our soldiers have everything they need to serve our country with dignity and pride," he said. .
He also said that he is convinced "that in the coming period, through joint effort and dedication, we will continue to build an army that is the pride of all citizens of Montenegro, that will be ready at any moment to respond to all challenges, but also an army in which every member of it to have a dignified and quality life".
