Milatović: The government and institutions should help local services to a greater extent in the fight against the consequences of weather disasters

The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, announced that he had spoken with the President of the municipality of Savnik, Jugoslav Jakić.

Milatović wrote on the social network X that Jakić informed him about the difficult situation in the municipality of Šavnik, caused by floods.

"Repairing the resulting material damage and enabling the unhindered life of the citizens of Šavnik requires the involvement of all relevant authorities. I appeal to the Government and other relevant institutions to provide support to local services to a greater extent than before in the fight against the consequences of weather disasters so far, as well as prevention potential damage that may occur due to new rainfall," said Milatović.
