A protective wire was installed in Ljesko doli, at the place where euthanized cattle infected with kyu fever were buried.

The Council of the Ministry of Health of Bogetići addressed today with a press release in which they stated that even after 35 days since cattle infected with kyu fever were euthanized and died in the Ljesko Doli zapokapa, which were moved from the Nikšić County, that place is still not provided and covered with protection by wire.

They reminded of the meeting with representatives of the local administration, as well as the promise that the place will be covered with wire and announced the blockade of the Nikšić-Podgorica main road for Monday, if the said place is not adequately secured by then.

They also reminded of other requests and promises, as they stated, from the local administration and once again sent an appeal to provide the place "because tomorrow it may be too late", bearing in mind that a large number of game animals gravitate to that area, as well as that it is hunting the season has already started. They also expressed their displeasure that, as they claim, the local administration cut off communication with them.

The Municipal Secretariat for Communal Affairs and Traffic said that the location was secured today and a protective net was installed, and they pointed out that the agreement regarding securing the said location, which was reached with the Local Community Council, was respected.

"Understanding the concerns of the citizens of Bogetići Municipality, we were in constant communication with their elected representatives. The location where the first contingent of euthanized animals was buried is located on the perimeter of Bogetići Municipality, and in accordance with the previous request, we installed a light signal to deter wild animals. The aim of this signaling was to prevent the potential endangerment of the location, until the installation of a protective fence of specific characteristics, which will provide permanent protection. from the Nikšić Secretariat for Communal Affairs and Traffic.

They also state that their workers, together with DOO Komunalno, will visit the site and take all necessary measures to ensure its complete rehabilitation.

"The protective fence has been installed and the location is adequately secured. We emphasize that we will continue to act in accordance with the law and in the best interest of the community, providing support to the farmers who are most affected in this situation," said the Secretariat for Communal Affairs and Traffic.
