The cleaning of the Herceg Novi seabed at four locations was completed as part of a project initiated by the Secretariat for Ecology and Energy Efficiency of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, and was implemented with the support of the Eco-Fund.
"Six divers and four assistants, with the help of a special machine for extracting waste, cleaned four locations in the underwater zone of Herzegnov Municipality that were mapped as critical points - Rose Bay, the mouth of the Sutorina River, the Škvera water area, as well as part of the Topalj Bay water area. is more than 40 tons of various waste, most of which is bulky such as tires, plastic, iron," announced the Press Service of the Municipality of Herceg Novi.
The value of the works, reports RTHN, is 36.000 euros, and they were financed by the Eco-Fund.
The diving works were carried out by the company Akva Boka, and the removal of waste to the landfill was entrusted to the city company "Čistoća".
The project was coordinated by the Secretariat for Ecology and Energy Efficiency in cooperation with the municipal Office for International Cooperation, and assistance was also provided by the Luštica Local Government, Morsko dobro and the Igalo Institute.
