The smell of squid, music, boats and competitors in the "hunt" for squid, long lines of those who want to taste squid and ruskula and "wash it all down" with wine and beer, would be the shortest description of the second "Petrovac Squid Festival" organized by the Local Community Council of Petrovac , the Municipality of Budva and the local Tourist Organization.
The event began at 16:XNUMX p.m. with the launching of boats and small boats from the marina and a squid hunting competition in three categories, modern, traditional and from the shore.
"We have about 40 contestants, and we have also prepared a rich musical program. First, the City Choir and City Music from Budva performed, while in the evening part of the program, the 'Akademia' band from Bar and the 'Budva All Stars' will perform. Rich music, but also rich tasting program - there are squid, ruskula, wine, beer. The crowd is big and this is a really extraordinary number of visitors for October," said Ksenija Šoljaga for "Vijesti" PR of the event.
As she pointed out, the event was made with the aim of extending the postseason and last year and this year are an indication that they are on the right track to succeed.
"And time is on our side. We will try to make sure that there is something new every year and that the event gets better every year," promised Šoljaga on behalf of the organizers.
