AUZP installed furniture on three viewpoints - two above Bukumirski and one above Rikavački lake

The part of the Nature Park "Komovi" belonging to the Capital city hides enchanting corners from which you can enjoy a view of Bukumir or Rikavačko lake, numerous mountains, katuns.

The Agency for the Management of Protected Areas (AUZP) of Podgorica reveals some of them to all interested visitors.

Namely, about ten days ago furniture was placed on three viewpoints, two above Bukumirski and one above Rikavački lake.

The workers of "Zelenila" made and assembled wooden furniture with the suggestions of AUZP.

Today, photos are placed on the panoramic boards, on which the mountain peaks that can be viewed from each individual vantage point are marked.

AUZP also engaged mountaineers who marked the paths to two viewpoints.

In addition to the viewpoints, three additional benches have been placed on the shore of the Bukumir Lake, as well as boards with information about the lake, the legend about the lake, and the rules of behavior in the park.

Also, during the previous two weeks, the employees of AUZP installed tourist signage on an area of ​​13.232 hectares, which is the area of ​​the park under their jurisdiction.

They say that they will do their best to welcome tourists next season with more information boards, organized parking and barbecue areas.

Since the beginning of this year, the Agency for the Management of Protected Areas in Podgorica has started the implementation of the "Mystical Stories of the Danube Green Route" project. The project lasts 30 months, and nine countries with 10 locations participate in its implementation.

"We became partners in this project thanks to the nomination of Bukumir lake as a location that ideally fit into the idea of ​​the project, which is to bring less-known, but no less attractive locations to tourists through stories, myths and legends. By the end of the duration of this project, Bukumir lake will also receive some new contents, about which those interested will be informed in a timely manner", announced from AUZP.

They say that all activities, as well as others that will be realized in the coming period, aim to preserve nature, inform and educate visitors of the Komovi Nature Park and the general public, as well as promote the beauty and natural values ​​of this protected area in the best possible way.
