The exchange of ideas and examples of good practice with francophone countries in the fields of educational policy, innovation and research contributes to the further improvement of the Montenegrin education system, announced the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI).
MPNI announced that minister Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, at the invitation of the rector of the University Agency of Francophonie Slim Kalbus, is participating in the World Week of Scientific Francophonie, which will be held from Monday to tomorrow in Toulouse, France.
From that government department, they pointed out that the meeting is of exceptional importance for francophone countries, and is organized under the auspices of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, with the support of the ministries in charge of higher education, research, Europe and foreign affairs.
"This further confirms France's commitment to promoting educational and scientific values within the Francophone community," the statement said.
It is stated that the participation of Jakšić Stojanović represents a significant step for Montenegro within the international academic community and opens numerous opportunities for improving cooperation with francophone countries.
"The exchange of ideas and examples of good practice in the fields of educational policy, innovation and research contributes to the further improvement of the Montenegrin education system and harmonization with the modern standards of the international academic community," the announcement says.
It is added that, apart from Jakšić Stojanović, ministers from 30 countries also spoke at today's meetings, including French Minister Patrik Hetzel.
"Special attention was paid to the exchange of students and researchers between AUF members," said MPNI.
As they said, they also discussed the definition of the framework for the mobility program dedicated to the Francophone area, the International Francophone Mobility and Employment Program (PIMEF), which was presented to state officials and will be implemented with the support of member state governments.
The MPNI added that special attention was paid to the operational implementation of the Francophone Scientific Diplomacy Manifesto.
"Such events provide an opportunity to connect and exchange experiences with key actors from the world of science and education, which is particularly important for Montenegro in strengthening its educational and research capacities," the announcement states.
