The political conflict between two opposing political blocs arose from the split of the former Democratic Front (DF), which was led by the detained president of the Municipality of Budva. Milo Bozovic, calls into question the organization of the most recognizable manifestation in the metropolis of tourism - the public welcome of the New Year on the painter's square in front of the old town ramparts.

The fight between the two rival parties, which flared up even more in anticipation of the November elections, is best illustrated in the war between the Municipality and the Tourist Organization (TO) of Budva. For almost a month, the two sides have been playing dumb phones - TO Budva is waiting for the green light from the vice-president of the municipality Jasna Dokić to start promoting the jubilee, 25th New Year's Eve. It is the municipality that should give the last word and give approval to the Tourist Organization for some of the proposed programs...

For everyone who wants to welcome the new year 2025 in Budva, the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Budva has prepared the longest and largest program that is planned to last over 45 days.

The news has learned that the program has been agreed in principle and that the consent of the Municipality of Budva has been waiting since September, but that it might be taken a step further. Namely, Vijesti has unofficially learned that TO Budva is ready to, in addition to the already agreed musical stars, this year, for the first time, on the square in front of the Old Town, an Italian mega-star will sing, and they are Eros Ramacoti, Andrea Bocelli, Sugar...

Since the negotiations have already started on this matter, we are just waiting for the position of the Municipality of Budva and whether they will agree to participate in the organization of New Year's Eve.

On the other hand, the strongest regional program has already been agreed, but due to the fit of one of the foreign stars, the signal from the Municipality of Budva has been waiting for a long time.

In all previous years, the bulk of the money for the organization of New Year's celebrations - about half a million euros - was provided by TO Budva, while a part, up to 100.000, was from the city treasury.

The problem turned out to be due to the fact that the Municipality of Budva, i.e. Vice President Dokić, organized a session of the Assembly of TO Budva, where she elected a new Executive Board and thereby announced the dismissal of the current director of TO Nemanja Kuljač.

Kuljača, as well as the Ministry of Tourism, contested the legality of the session and the decisions made. In the past few days, the convening of a new Assembly of TO was avoided due to the obligation to replace the member of the Executive Board from among the restaurateurs, since the one elected at the session did not have their legitimacy. The administrative inspection has reacted, but no decision has yet been made on any irregularities found.

The director of TO Budva, Nemanja Kuljača, again sent a letter to vice-president Dokić the day before yesterday, in which he told her that the program had been conceived and that they were planning to perform on the craziest night: Bijelo Dugme (a complete line-up whose fee would be 120 euros), Blue Orchestra (80.000 euros), Jelena Karleusa (60 thousand euros).

As it happens, the program would start on December 30 and it was suggested that the band Legsinton perform, while a performance is planned for January 1. Dean Merlin (120 thousand euros), Dzejle Ramovic i Sergej Ćetković.

Kuljača submitted a list of ten more performers who can be engaged for performances during the three-day program on the central stage, which is traditionally placed in front of the Old Town. The Croatian representative at Eurovision is on the list Baby Lasagna (35 thousand euros), Aleksandra Radović (25 thousand euros), Boris Novkovic (10 thousand euros), Boban Rajević (30 fees for December 31, 15 euros for January 1), New Fossils (20 euros for January 1), Damir Urban (12 thousand euros for December 30 or January 1, and 20 thousand euros for December 31)... the list also includes Bojan Marović, SARS, Buč Kasidi...

The Municipality is expected to approve the program, in order to start the implementation, but also whether they are ready for an Italian star to perform on the craziest night in order to finish the negotiations.

"We believe that with this choice of performers, Budva would once again be the first in the region in terms of the quality of the program, for which we have been known for decades, which would have a positive impact on visits and overall tourist traffic. In addition to these performers, who make up the skeleton of the program, they would once again organize a traditional New Year's concert of classical music, because we believe that this, now traditional event, is particularly important for the image of Budva... In addition to the above, we believe that it is necessary, if you are ready and if are you able to act promptly, so that in honor of the jubilee - 25 years since the first public reception in Budva, let's consider bringing together one of the big international stars such as Zukero, Ramacoti, Bočeli and others. That is why it is urgent to devise a program and organize festivities in honor of the jubilee. Bearing in mind that the Municipality and TO Budva have always jointly organized a musical program for New Year's Eve, we expect you to participate in the selection of proposed New Year's programs", said Kuljača.

Since Budva is recognized for good holiday entertainment in the region, in addition to TO Budva, excellent programs are prepared by local hotels and catering establishments, so this year again over 50.000 guests are expected.

The conflict rages on social networks

How far the war between political rivals, formerly close friends, has gone is best evidenced by the fact that someone from the office of the President of the Municipality, Milo Božović, posted on social networks the business communication between the director of the TO, Nemanja Kuljača, and the vice-president, Dokić...

Through an army of bots, the conflicting parties attack each other daily, disparaging each other, making the most vile qualifications about each other.

The very publication of part of the communication, which shows the fees of individual stars, could also call into question the future response of music stars...

TO Budva unofficially says that they fear that certain stars will cancel their arrival because of this.
