The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Dr. Dario Vraneš, today received Emir Loj in his cabinet, who a few days ago saved Ilhan Tursumović, a neuropsychiatrist at the Health Center in Pljevlja, when he was attacked with a knife at his workplace by a fellow citizen of DV after refusing to issue him a medical certificate for possessing weapons.
Vraneš expressed deep respect and gratitude to Loj for his courage and determination.
"This act is an example of how an individual can influence the lives of others. Your courage deserves all the praise and we are proud to have such people in our city", said Vraneš.
He said that in the conversation with the Minister of Health Dr. Vojislav Šimun, he discussed the possibilities of resolving Emir's employment.
A symbolic gift was presented to the young hero, and possible initiatives to promote workplace safety and support healthcare workers were also discussed.
"This event reminds us all of the importance of solidarity and courage in difficult times. The Municipality of Pljevlja will continue to work on improving working conditions and safety for all our citizens, and the true heroes will always be proudly highlighted", announced the Municipality of Pljevlja.
