Fire on Dajbabska gora localized: Defended houses towards Zelenica

Firefighters managed to localize the fire, which was spreading from the tower on Dajbabska gora towards Zelenica.

"We managed to defend the houses from the elements of fire, and there are still teams monitoring the fire," said the commander of the Protection Service, Andrija Čađenović.

There is currently an active fire from the tower towards the Dahna settlement, and due to the wind, the fire element is spreading at high speed.

The priority of the firefighters is the protection of houses, and due to the direction of the fire's spread, they will redirect the forces towards Dahna.

Čađenović announced the help of two planes that should soon participate in firefighting again.

"We expect to bring the fire completely under control by the afternoon with the combined forces," said Čađenović.

The north wind is a big problem for firefighters, and all available capacities are engaged in extinguishing the fire.

There are six or seven teams of firefighters on the ground, the "Vijesti" portal was told in the Podgorica Protection and Rescue Service.

Canadians are engaged in extinguishing the fire and are trying to localize the fire from the air.
