The draft Decision on the organization and manner of performing auto-taxi transport in the territory of the municipality of Kolašin proposed a range of prices for this type of service, and the current prices, which were formed a few months ago by taxi associations, are at the upper limit of the proposed tariffs.

The draft act prescribes the starting price from 50 to 80 cents. Daily driving per kilometer, according to the draft decision, should be from 80 cents to one euro, and night driving from one to 1,4 euros. The prescribed waiting price per hour is from six to nine, during the period from six to 22 p.m., or up to 12 euros during the night.

Kolašin's taxi drivers, both those who work independently and those who are employed by taxi companies, increased the prices of their services in July, so now a kilometer of driving costs one euro.

The price of the minimum ride, that is, of driving on distances shorter than a kilometer, is 1,5 euros instead, while the start remains 80 cents. As the representatives of the taxi association told "Vijesta", they were forced to increase the prices, primarily due to an increase in the price of auto parts by, as they claim, almost 50 percent.

Kolašin has four taxi associations and about 50 registered taxi drivers.

Taxi prices in that city were also increased at the beginning of December last year, and before that they were not changed for years, so a ride per kilometer was 60 cents.

From now on, according to the draft, a certain number of taxis will be adapted for people with disabilities (PWD).

Thus, a carrier that carries out taxi transport with 15 to 20 vehicles is obliged to equip at least 10 percent of the total number of vehicles with a platform for easy entry and exit of PWDs, as well as equipment for the safe transport of these persons. A carrier that performs taxi transportation with more than 20 vehicles is obliged to have at least five percent of such vehicles.

The draft decision stipulates the obligation to adopt the Plan for the optimal organization of auto-taxi transportation, as well as the obligation to adopt the Program for passing the exam on knowledge of the city, the selection and composition of the committee for passing the exam.
