The Government of Montenegro declared Sunday, November 3, a day of mourning for the tragedy in Novi Sad, where 14 people died and three were injured when the canopy of the Railway Station in that city fell.
The executive authority made that decision at a telephone session.
"The Government of Montenegro declares November 3, 2024 as a day of mourning, on the occasion of the suffering of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia, who tragically lost their lives. The day of mourning is marked by the obligatory flying of the flag at half-mast on all state and local government buildings and public institutions, in accordance with the Law on State Symbols and the Day of Nationality of Montenegro. No public, cultural or entertainment programs will be held on the day of mourning, and no music will be broadcast in hospitality facilities adapt to the celebration of the day of mourning," says the document on the Government's website.
