Organized by the "Open water" swimming club and the Budva Triathlon Club, the 14th "Open water" humanitarian swimming marathon of six kilometers and the Race for HEALTH humanitarian run of 2,5 kilometers were held today in Budva.
The entire sports event was organized in order to collect funds for equipping the KBC Kotor infectious disease department.
At the start of the marathon, the swimmers were greeted by Aleksandar Zekić, Head of Infectious Diseases at the Kotor Hospital.
5.500 euros were collected and the goal was met by the team alone.
The marathon was six kilometers long, which the swimmers completed in 2 hours and 20 minutes.
"At the finish line, the swimmers were welcomed by the vice-president of the municipality of Budva, Jasna Dokić, many locals and tourists," said Luka Vučković, one of the organizers and participants of the swimming marathon, to "Vijesta".
