Due to the beginning of the reconstruction of part of Njegoševa street, from Monday (November 4) to February 4, the traffic regime and the route of local public transport will be changed.
Due to the modification and preparation of horizontal and vertical signage for the regulation of traffic through the city center for the duration of the works, traffic will be prohibited tomorrow from 16.00:3.00 p.m. until Tuesday at XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. on the section from the intersection of Mića Vavića and Njegoševa streets (the 'Novljanka' building) to the intersection of streets Sava Kovačević and Stijep Šarenc (apartment complex 'Energoprojekt').
As RTHN reports, from Tuesday, November 5, traffic through the city center will be enabled under the new regime.
The traffic will be two-way from the intersection of Njegoševa and Mića Vavića Street (the Novljanka building) to Marshal Tito Square (the Municipality building). On this section, parking in general parking spaces will not be allowed, and citizens will have parking spaces available in the garage near the Municipality and in the parking lot next to the Post Office. Two-way traffic will also be allowed on Sava Kovačevića street, from the turn for Partizanski put (locality 'Touch') to the intersection with Stijepa Šarenc street on Savina (apartment complex 'Energoprojekt'). On part of this section, next to the Forte Mare fortress, traffic will be regulated by traffic lights. Parking in general parking spaces along the street will not be allowed, and citizens will have access to a parking space in the Old Town, under the church of St. Jeronim, as well as a parking lot on Škver.
Traffic will be completely stopped on Njegoševa Street from Maršala Tito Square (Municipality building) to the intersection of Sava Kovačevića Street and Partizanski Put (local 'Touch'), but pedestrian communication will be enabled.
During the reconstruction, local public transport will be diverted from the intersection of Njegoševa and Mića Vavića Street (the 'Novljanka' building) to the Adriatic highway, which will run further to Meljini, i.e. Kamenari, at the usual hourly rate. Delivery vehicles up to 5 tons capacity will be allowed to drive every day from 22.00:9.00 PM to XNUMX:XNUMX AM.
