Toys for children who are in a state of social need

The Foundation Volunteers of Montenegro donated a large amount of toys to children who are in a state of social need - users of the SOS Telephone for women and children victims of violence Nikšić and the Center for Security, Sociological and Criminological Research of Montenegro - "Defendology" Nikšić.

"At the festival held at the end of September, called 'GameOBrain', a significant amount of toys, wardrobe and school equipment was collected. We are grateful to all citizens of Montenegro who responded to this call. We are happy that we donate most of the toys to organizations that work directly with children who face different challenges. We believe that every child deserves conditions for carefree play, which is certainly an important part of their growing up and emotional development. Of course, such actions play a key role in strengthening relations between organizations that, among others, have the same mission - that every child be a happy child", said Ana Radonjić from Volunteers of Montenegro.

The Foundation decided to distribute the remaining part of the toys to the users of the Foundation's Voluntary - Social Service and to the users of the Ju Center for Social Work for the Capital City of Podgorica, the municipality within the Capital City of Golubovci and the municipality of Tuzi.

"Unfortunately, the number of citizens who are in a state of social need is increasing every day. We are aware of how much such donations mean to families facing economic difficulties. The colder months are upon us, so suitable and warm clothing and footwear are essential now. Unfortunately, we sometimes forget that many of our fellow citizens do not have the basic conditions that are common to us every day, and that they face the questions of what they will eat, wear and whether their child will be rejected because of poverty. As always, we invite all people of good will to join us in this mission and donate as much as they can and what they can", Radonjić invited. "Together we can provide support to those who need it the most, because every individual of our society deserves to feel the safety and warmth of the community that cares for him", she said, and on behalf of the Foundation, she thanked the partners in this activity: JU Center for Social Work for the Capital Podgorica , the municipality within the Capital City of Golubovci and the municipality of Tuzi as well as "BrainOBrain".
