Yesterday in Paris, Montenegro signed a contract with the company "Kership" on the purchase of two patrol boats, "Vijesti" has learned.
The information was confirmed by the Minister of Defense of France Sebastijan Lecornu, who said that Montenegro decided to buy two French patrol boats.
He wrote on the X network that he spoke with Defense Minister Dragan Krapović on the sidelines of the Euronaval show in Paris.
"Vijesti" recently announced that two new patrol ships for the needs of the Croatian Navy will cost taxpayers more than 120 million euros.
The "Kership" brand was founded in 2013 by the private shipbuilding company "Piriou" and the renowned French industrial corporation "Naval Group" (DCSN), with the mission to specialize in the design and construction of several types of war and auxiliary ships, as well as police and coast guard ships. , up to 100 meters long.
The company has so far developed several projects of patrol boats for coastal waters and open seas, various types of specialized smaller warships, such as minesweepers and the like, and a whole range of multipurpose and special purpose ships.
"Kership" has so far built a large number of ships according to these projects for the needs of the French state services, as well as the navies, coast guards, police and scientific research institutions in many countries of the world.
