Although according to the permit issued to them by the Traffic Administration of Montenegro for the digging of the Adriatic highway at Opatovo near Tivat, they are obliged to mark and secure this construction site on the active road according to the Elaboration of temporary traffic signals, the workers who perform this work for the company "CG Projekt " from Cetinje, they didn't do that at all.
That company received permission from the Traffic Administration to, in order to install an electric cable to the location of its future facility on Opatovo, longitudinally cut one lane of the Jadranska magistrala in a length of 320 meters, as well as to make two transverse cuts of this road.
By the way, this is already the fourth excavation and devastation of this one and the same section of the Jadranska magistrala in Tivat in the last four years, in order to install a new electrical and water infrastructure.
The works started last week and in the meantime, a trench with a length of about 300 meters was dug, which is completely unsecured and unmarked with adequate traffic signals.
Although one lane of the highway is sometimes not passable at all due to the operation of the machines, there is no temporary traffic signal on the construction site that would regulate the alternating passage of vehicles on the other available roadway.
Despite all this and the reports of disgruntled citizens to the Municipal Inspection and the Municipal Police of the Municipality of Tivat, it has not had any effect in improving the situation on the ground so far.
Likewise, although the completely unsecured and inadequately marked construction site on Opatovo directly threatens the safety of all road users, it has not yet caused any reaction from the traffic police of the Tivat Security Department, which is responsible for the implementation of the Law on Traffic Safety.
