The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja Dario Vraneš participated in the Global Forum of Culture and Tourism in China, where he promoted the tourist potential of Pljevlja.
Vraneš participated in the visit to China at the invitation of the Cultural Association of Belgrade.
The five-day event was held in Beijing, Taizhou and Guyang, and representatives from most countries of the world were present.
"I came with the task of presenting the potential of Ljubišnja and the Tara river canyon at the world forum of culture and tourism in China. The Chinese economy and tourist activity are in an unstoppable expansion, they are very interested in Europe, and especially in the tourist potential of a grandiose character such as the Tara canyon. Several hundred representatives of cities and countries from all over the world were present, and the largest number was from China," Vraneš told Vijesta.
The mayor of Pljevlja said that the Chinese are fascinated by the Tara canyon, and that many have visited it.
"They also hoped to arrive in Montenegro in June next year. Now they have a direct Beijing-Belgrade line twice a week, and from 2025, Shanghai-Belgrade lines will be established twice a week," Vraneš said.
Vraneš also had a meeting with the mayor of the city of Gujang (6,7 million inhabitants), to whom he presented the tourist potential of the Pljeval municipality in detail.
There was also a visit to the big companies of this city.
