The drug Lendacin, produced by Sandoz, with the same composition and strength, is no longer on the List of Medicines and was removed at the request of the manufacturer, so it is not covered by the Health Insurance Fund of Montenegro (FZOCG), but a parallel is available and citizens do not need to they buy that antibiotic.
This was announced today by the Health Institution of the Montefarm Pharmacy of Montenegro regarding the statement of the deputy of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Nermin Abdić during today's session of the Parliament of Montenegro, and during the parliamentary questions to the Minister of Health, Vojislav Šimun, and the comment on the answers regarding the consumption of medicines.
"The drug antibiotic Ceftiaxon powder for injection 10*1000mg is on the List of Medicines and the Montefarma warehouse as well as the JZU to which it is delivered currently have sufficient quantities. There were no interruptions in its delivery during 2024," it is emphasized in announcement.
Montefarma added that the drug Genotropin injections in syringes 1*5,3mg/ml manufactured by Pfizer are available and regularly delivered to pharmacies that normally distribute specific therapies.

The drug market at the global level is in deficit with the hormone growth that occurred when the manufacturer NovoNoridsk informed all countries in the first quarter of the current year that it was suspending the production of the drug Norditropin Nordiflex 10mg/1,5ml and 15mg/1,5ml, which until then was used by 95-96% of children as therapy", it is concluded in the announcement of Montefarma.
