The Acting City Manager of Budva, Marijana Božović, invited the citizens to submit their proposals on the New Year's program on the square in front of the Old Town by November 15.
She spoke after, as she stated, today's failed meeting with the director of the Budva Tourism Organization (TOB), Nemanja Kuljaca.
"It is with regret that we have to state that for the first time the process of organizing the New Year's program was conducted secretly, without the participation of the municipality, business and tourism officials. We were deliberately brought into the black hole in order to politically manipulate and essentially misuse the money of the citizens of Budva, which is what we are from the current director. Unfortunately, after today's unsuccessful meeting with the director of the Municipality of Budva, it is evident that the citizens' priority has been changed presented offer on the table, by Nemanja Kuljača, for the reception with a clear message that it should be discreetly official but also the only one, I must express my disappointment with the attitude and unprofessional attitude towards taxpayers, i.e. our citizens", said Božović.

"Hereby, I would like to invite all citizens to send their proposals to menadzer@budva.me or deliver them to the manager's office by November 15 of the current year. Hereby, I would like to refer citizens to the proposal submitted by the director of TOB, which is not coordinated with the management of the Municipality of Budva. Entertainment performers such as Jelena Karleuša on December 30 (30 thousand euros), Vlada Georgijev on December 31 (50 thousand euros), Dino Merlin on January 1 (150 thousand euros) and others are planned. contractor would cost taxpayers more than 230 thousand euros, while the amount of the complete organization of the reception would exceed the amount of 300 thousand euros," said Božović.

In addition to the public call for citizens to give their opinion and participate in the organization, I would like to point out that it is never too late. It is too late when irreparable mistakes are made with taxpayers' money that is, the citizens of Budva. An excellent program, which is in accordance with the will of the citizens, is the best solution for the general good of the citizens and the promotion of the city," concluded Božović.
