The municipal company "Mediteran Reklame" invited the Municipal Police and the Inspectorate to remove illegally placed billboards and canvases placed on the roundabout in Zavala, as well as along the boulevards and roads between the public lighting poles, which belong to the citizens' list "Budva our city" led by Nikola Jovanovic.
The letter signed by the acting director of that company, Nikola Kaženegra, which "Vijesti" had access to, was forwarded to the head of the Municipal Police and Inspection, Vladan Braunović.
"We would like to inform you that during field inspection at various locations in the territory of the municipality of Budva, we found advertising facilities placed by the civic list "Budva our city - Nikola Jovanović" for which approvals were not issued by "Mediteran Reklama", as the competent authority of the local self-government for the arrangement of advertising space on the territory of the municipality. A total of nine illegally placed advertising facilities were found in the monitoring report. We ask you to carry out an inspection and take appropriate measures", he stated in the letter from Kazan.
Kaženagra is a cadre of the coalition "For the future of Budva - Mladen Mikijelj", while Braunović is a cadre of Jovanović's political option.
There was a similar problem in the May elections, when Jovanović's list also put up billboards in almost the same locations for which, according to the claims of "Mediterranean Reklama", they did not have approval, and Braunović's office did not react despite letters. The public became aware of this only a few days ago, after the announcements of the two parties in which the accusations were made, but also the fact that the citizens were damaged for more than 35 thousand euros, because no one paid for the advertising.
A few days ago, Jovanović's list came out after they announced that one of the rarely rented billboards was destroyed, and accused "Mediterranek Reklama" of discrimination.
"Municipal company "Mediteran Reklame" brutally discriminated against the list "Budva naš grad" because they did not allow us to rent any billboards, neither in the previous nor in this election cycle, which represents a flagrant violation of election rules and discrimination against our political entity. The list "Budva our city - Nikola Jovanović" was also the target of party bots, blatant lies, slander, spin and drawing targets in the previous election cycle. We did not expect anything to change during this campaign, except that the intensity of the attacks increased. Unfortunately, the price of their frustration was paid by the few billboards we managed to rent. In addition to the billboard, the public area around the billboard was also damaged and soiled. For us, this is a sign that we are on the right path and we are saying that we will continue to work even harder because we will not allow such people to gain power, because if they behave like this towards the billboard, we can only imagine how they would behave towards the city budget". they stated in the press release from this list.
However, the municipal company immediately responded by rejecting the accusations of the civil list, but also accused the Municipal Police and the inspectorate of knowingly ignoring the call during April and May and not removing the illegal canvases.
"The public company 'Mediteran Reklame' has been successfully managing the municipality's advertising space for two decades and has achieved the best results compared to all other municipalities in Montenegro. The rule of our company is to always keep aside when it comes to participation in the election campaign and our only task is to rent advertising space, which is owned by our municipality, to interested parties under equal conditions. However, we have been suffering for a long time from attacks full of untruths that are released to the public only by one political agent of the Budva election game", the company pointed out.
They added that "Budva our city" is the only participant in the election that placed all its advertisements in the form of transparencies and wall panels completely illegally, without requests, without fulfilling the prescribed conditions and without paying any fees.
"In addition to the damage of over 35.000 euros caused by the group "Budva nas grad", also all posted advertisements seriously endanger traffic because they do not even meet the minimum prescribed conditions for placement. Our public company has written to the municipal inspection on several occasions with requests to urgently remove these traffic-dangerous advertising content. The municipal inspection completely ignored our pleas. We lease advertising facilities to all clients who send an inquiry. As in the last elections and in this one, "Budva our city" was the last to send an inquiry and received what was available at the given moment. As before and in the future, our company will not enter into political fights, but will exclusively rely on facts and by means of clear evidence to inform citizens about the circumstances related to their work", this company pointed out.
