It does not matter how long the fuel was filled and how much money was spent, but that it is an illegal spending of citizens' money. I hope that the prosecutor's office will investigate who and how much money was spent on fuel for the missing 'Lada', because even if five euros were spent, it was done illegally.
This is what Rajko Perović, member of the Democratic Party of Socialists, said in response to allegations from the Municipality of Nikšić. At the last session of the Municipal Assembly, he presented the information that the card of the municipal "Lade Niva", registration number NK CG 109, which disappeared a year and a half ago. , and for a year and a half - two refills of fuel in the amount of 4.500 euros.
The local administration denied his allegations, claiming that the "Lada" card, whose disappearance was reported to the police, was limited to 80 euros per month, so that vehicle could spend 960 euros in a year, as well as that he also extended the fuel card with it. at the disposal of the chief inspector in the Administration of Local Public Revenue since the period of the previous government, since the mentioned vehicle has not been in driving condition since the end of 2020.
"On June 7 of this year, the chief inspector in the Administration of Local Public Revenue returned the fuel card to the competent local government body and since then "the card ceases to be used", the municipality stated.
In his reaction, Perović points out that he is glad that they "admitted that they broke the law".
"That is the first step - that they knowingly violated it and that they poured fuel into a vehicle that does not exist. We will also arrive at precise figures for fuel, which, I'm afraid, are much higher. I would ask people from the local administration, as well as the prosecutor's office, to explain to me according to which article of the law fuel can be poured from the card of a non-existent vehicle into private vehicles", stated Perović in his response.
As he pointed out, he is not interested in who "established that practice", but only in respect of the law.
"According to our knowledge, the 'Lada' has been gone for two years and three months, and all that time fuel is being used on her card. They reported the disappearance of the vehicle only when they found out that DPS was going to prosecute them for the missing 'lada' and fuel, and the card was returned only when the director of the Property Directorate reported the disappearance of the vehicle. I'm asking the local administration if they might be missing another vehicle, but we'll talk about that at the next session," said Perović.
