The trade union organization of the State Prosecutor's Offices of Montenegro, at the session of the Assembly, gave unanimous support to the Association of Judges in their fight to improve the financial position of employees in the judiciary, the union announced.
"The reaction of the Association of Judges, the Professional Committee of the Judiciary, as well as the Trade Union Organization of the State Prosecutor's Offices of Montenegro in the previous period, unequivocally indicates the general dissatisfaction of the employees when it comes to the material conditions of work in judicial institutions," the announcement states.
They said that they recently held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Justice, at which, they say, it was concluded that the current financial position of state prosecutors, as well as civil servants and state employees, does not correspond to the responsibility, scope and complexity of the work they perform in the prosecution organization.
"On that occasion, the Ministry of Justice expressed its readiness to present our demands at the Government session, which is why we expect a responsible and constructive approach from other representatives of the executive power, in order to reach an adequate solution and overcome the current situation in the shortest possible time," it added.
They called on the executive power to continue dialogue and negotiations with the Trade Union Organization of the State Prosecutor's Offices of Montenegro, with the aim of finding concrete solutions that will improve the position of employees in the judiciary.
"If, however, concrete steps are not taken soon, we will be forced to undertake radical activities in order to protect the integrity and dignity of all employees in the prosecutor's organization," the announcement concludes.
