Residents of the Bogetići Local Community (MZ) today blocked the Nikšić-Podgorica main road in Bogetići for an hour, dissatisfied that they did not receive an answer from the President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, that they will no longer bury euthanized and dead cattle infected with kyu fever on the territory of their MZ without knowledge and consent of the local community, as well as that they will repair the road leading to Ljesko doli.
"The blockade will continue in the following days at the same time until they receive an answer from Kovačević that there will be no more activities on the territory of the Bogetići Municipality without the knowledge and consent of the Municipality, as well as that they will repair the road in Ljesko Doli," said Mijajlo, the president of the Bogetići Municipality. Škuletić.
Because of the blockades, large columns were formed on both sides.
During the blockade, only emergency vehicles are allowed through.
The locals, at the protest organized ten days ago, asked Kovačević for a written guarantee on the mentioned two demands, and otherwise they announced the blockade of the main road Nikšić-Bogetići.
More than 130 head of infected cattle were buried in two locations in Ljesko doli, according to the Ministry of Health, and the road was damaged, according to them, by trucks transporting cattle.
They said from the protest that their protests have no political background.
