The Ministry of Health announced today that starting Monday, the procedure for scheduling magnetic resonance (MR) examinations at the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) will be facilitated.
The announcement states that a new way of scheduling the diagnostic procedure will be applied from Monday.
"Until now, after the MR radiologist's council, patients returned to the selected doctor for a referral for imaging, and under the new system, after the examination, the Council immediately schedules the patient for imaging (the patient does not return to the health center). If it is assessed that the imaging is urgent , and there is no appointment at the KCCG, the Consilium gives an opinion based on which the patient can immediately schedule an examination at a private health facility (PHU) with which the Health Insurance Fund of Montenegro has a signed contract, without going to the chosen doctor," the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
From that government department, they said that in this way the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with KCCG and the Health Insurance Fund, wants to facilitate procedures for patients and make the availability of diagnostic procedures more efficient and faster, and also reduce the administrative burden on doctors at the primary level of health care.
