43 capital projects in the field of ecology are active in Montenegro, and their total estimated value is more than 185 million euros, announced the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North, Damjan Ćulafić.
He said this in the Assembly, answering the question of Radinka Ćinćur, a member of the Special Club, about what he will do for a better and better quality of life for women, and thus the survival of society in the northern area.
Ćulafić said that in the north of Montenegro, according to the current data in the Directorate for Capital Projects, more than 150 capital projects are active in different areas.
He reminded that on November 8, the Government adopted information that established a list of new priority infrastructure projects, as well as a list of projects of exceptional importance for Montenegro.
As Ćulafić said, the Information on the Proposal for a list of projects of exceptional national importance for financing from the capital budget in the coming year includes 27 new projects, 14 of which are in the northern part of Montenegro.
According to him, the Information on the Proposal of the list of priority capital projects for financing from the capital budget of the state in the next year defined that out of 14 new "mature" projects, ten are in the north of Montenegro.
Ćulafić said that, therefore, of the 41 newly determined capital projects, 24 are projects from different areas, which will be implemented in the north of Montenegro.
"At this moment in the Administration for Capital Projects, there are 43 projects that fall under the ecology program, and their total estimated value is over 185 million euros," stated Ćulafić.
Of that total value, he added, around 106 million euros "waste" on projects that are being implemented or will be implemented in municipalities in the north of Montenegro.
"So, if you take into account one of the basic strategic documents of the Government - the Economic Recovery Platform 2022-2026, which relies on general economic activity on capital investments, I believe that the concrete steps of the Government demonstrate a clear determination to develop the north of the country," said Ćulafić. .
He assessed that the recovery of the north is happening, that the process is ongoing, but that it is not simple, taking into account that it has been neglected for a long time.
"Nevertheless, I am encouraged by the fact that the government has taken very clear steps towards the north, and I expect that we will have a positive effect in terms of demographic indicators as well," said Ćulafić.
He, answering the question of Democrat MP Albin Ćeman, what is the capital budget for the next year for the north in the field of ecology, and what is the amount per municipality, he said that in Berane the total value of the planned projects is 35 million euros.
Ćulafić said that the total value of the planned projects in Petnjica is seven million euros, and two million euros in Andrijevica.
As he stated, the value of the planned projects in Kolašin is five million euros, while the final assessment of the value of the rehabilitation of the waste disposal site in Bakovići is awaited.
Ćulafić said that the value of the planned projects in Pljevlja is 30 million euros, 2,2 million in Žabljak, 2,5 million in Plav, 13,5 million in Mojkovac, 550 thousand in Rožaj, and 600 thousand in Plužine.
He said that the projects planned for Bijelo Polje are worth a total of EUR 6,9 million, adding that the delivery of the project for the construction of water supply and drinking water purification plant is pending.
"The aforementioned data do not include the value of the projects that will be implemented in the north in the coming year, and which were defined at the Government session on November 8," said Ćulafić.
Answering Ćinćur's question about the new Law on Waste Management, he said that it is not about levying citizens, but about encouraging the circular movement of money and multiplying its consumption in a positive direction.
"In a certain sense, citizens pay for incentive programs to raise the level of awareness about the importance of the environment," said Ćulafić.
He said that the goal of banning the use of plastic carrier bags, with a wall thickness of 15 to 50 microns, is to reduce the use of plastic bags, bearing in mind that their improper disposal has negative effects on the environment.
"We believe that this ban will significantly improve the current state of waste management, in such a way that it will be impossible to dispose of large quantities of waste bags on public and other surfaces," added Ćulafić.
