The University of Montenegro (UCG) established the Fund for research and study stays, the purpose of which is to provide financial support to researchers and students of the University of Montenegro.
According to the decision, signed by the President of the UCG Board of Directors Milivoje Radović, the funds of the Fund will be provided through the Alumni Association in the form of donations, sponsorships... and will be paid into a separate sub-account.
"The funds will be allocated to researchers and students of the University of Montenegro for the purpose of financial support, but also at the request of an individual, which will be decided by the Commission. The conditions and procedures for obtaining the financial support granted by the Fund from this decision, in order to achieve its purpose, will be prescribed by a separate rulebook," the decision states.
It is added that the Management Board of the UCG will adopt the Rulebook on the conditions and procedures for obtaining financial support granted by the Fund, within 60 days from the date of entry into force of the decision, i.e. by the end of December at the latest.
As stated in the UCG Bulletin dated October 25, a Fund for financial support for UCG students is also being established, which was proposed by the Alumni Association.
The funds will be paid into a separate sub-account and allocated to students of the University of Montenegro who are beneficiaries of material security, personal disability benefits and allowances for care and assistance in accordance with the law, at the individual's request.
The decision on this, as stated, will be made by the Fund Allocation Committee.
As explained in the decision, material security, personal disability allowance and allowance for care and assistance is one of the basic rights that fall under the domain of basic material benefits from social protection and which are realized based on the conditions prescribed by the Law on Social and Child Protection.
Social (material) assistance implies the financial and property status of a certain person, which indicates that he does not have enough means to live and meet life's needs.
