A total of 1.146 patients are waiting this month for their first examination or surgery for more than a month at the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG).
Most patients, a total of 742, are waiting for an examination at the Cardiology Center. An additional 39 insured persons are on the waiting list for surgery at the Center for Cardiac Surgery.
There are 73 patients on the waiting list of the Clinic for Oncology and Radiotherapy. Among them are 20 outpatients, 18 awaiting hospitalization, while the list also includes 20 citizens who need breast radiation.
Another 216 patients are on the list of the Clinic for Eye Diseases, while 76 citizens are waiting for surgery at the Orthopedic Clinic. Waiting lists are at almost the same level in July as in previous months.
The Ministry of Health recently launched an electronic scheduling project, so that selected doctors can schedule appointments with specialists in hospitals and KCCG.
One of the goals of the project is, as previously announced by the Ministry, that each specialist examination must be performed within 30 days.
The Ministry decided to introduce electronic appointments after analyzing the complaints of patients from last year, a large number of which related to the length of waiting for health services, and a significant number to their organization.
