Dušanka Milatović Perović was dismissed from the position of director of the General Hospital in Nikšić due to irregularities in her work, the Ministry of Health announced.
They say that the relevant minister, Vojislav Šimun, made the decision on dismissal based on the provisions and powers contained in the Law on Health Care, as well as the Law on State Administration.

"The decision to dismiss came after the Commission for the Control of the Work of Health Institutions, founded by the state and formed by the Ministry of Health, in accordance with the plan and program of regular controls on July 1, 2024, performed control of the work of OB Nikšić, analyzing medical, legal and economic aspects. After inspecting the documentation, the Commission found significant irregularities in the work of the management and stated that the director of this institution did not act in accordance with the Law on Health Care, the Law on Labor, and the Regulations on Closer Conditions also, it was found that they did not properly manage incentives for employees, because there was no defined internal act for their allocation, and some employees were also stimulated for overtime work, which led to the misuse of budget funds. "Also, the hospital's financial plan for 2023 shows an overrun of anticipated costs, especially for salaries, consumables and fees under labor contracts," the announcement reads.
They said that on the basis of these irregularities, Šimun made the decision to dismiss the current director of the Nikšić hospital, before the end of her mandate, because she did not respect the legal regulations and general acts of the institution, "which caused damage to the hospital and contributed to the negligent and poor performance of duties".
Šimun appointed Zoran Mrkić, a specialist in urology, as acting director of the hospital.
