I am convinced that Pljevlja will continue to develop as a place where tradition and modernity meet, for the benefit of all citizens, announced the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić.

It was announced from the Assembly that Mandić congratulated the Municipal President of Pljevlja Dario Vraneš, the President of the Municipal Assembly Jovana Tošić and all the citizens of Pljevlja on the Day of the Municipality of Pljevlja.

"Pljevlja, as a city with a rich history, cultural and natural resources, occupies a special place in our country. Their importance is not only in the past, which we preserve with pride, but also in the potential they hold for the future of the whole of Montenegro," said Mandić.

He added that the development of the north of Montenegro "is an imperative that must be in the first place for all of us".

"It is necessary to create an environment with joint efforts that will enable our people to stay, live and work in their regions. We must pay special attention to young people, their education, employment and conditions for their dignified life, because they are the bearers of change and guarantees of a better future." , said Mandic.

The Ministry of Public Administration informed the Assembly of the Municipality of Pljevlja at the end of October that no assumptions have been made that the Government is considering the request of the Municipality to approve changes to the statute, which stipulates that the new Day of the Municipality, instead of November 20, will be October 27, which coincides with the Orthodox holiday of Holy Friday .

The decision on the new Municipal Day was made by the parliamentary majority at the end of September last year.
